Assembly of Remembrance

ASSEMBLY OF REMEMBRANCE IN HONOUR OF

MR. BRENT LOCKHART

 

An assembly in honour of Mr. Lockhart will be held on Thursday, January 19th, 2012 @ 1:00 in the Rosebrier Community School Gymnasium. The community will be celebrating and remembering Mr. Lockhart.

All are welcome.

Student Leadership

The Rosebrier Community School Leadership Group was busy during the month of December with the food bank drive. The students of Rosebrier collected 6 large boxes of food for the food bank. Way to go! The Grade 2/3 class brought the most items per student and won the prize! Pajama day was a big hit with students and staff.

The December assembly was once again led by the leadership students and the activity of the month was Dustin says, and the healthy tip of the month was remember to get outside and be physically active during the holiday season.

Starting in January, the Leadership group has planned intramurals for the students in K-3 and 4-6 and 7-9 during the lunch recess. The group will be sharing the details on the daily announcements.

Parent Council News

The next Parent Council meeting will be January 25th @ 7:00 pm. The Action Society will meet at 6:00pm the same evening. Both meetings will take place in the school library. We look forward to seeing you!

 

A huge thank you to the parent council for the amazing Turkey lunch they provided to students and staff on the last day before Christmas break. It was much appreciated and delicious!

Board Letter to Parents October 27, 2011

On September 27, 2011 the Board of Trustees of Wetaskiwin Regional Public School
voted on and passed a motion to undertake a review of education programs and
school viability at Rosebrier School as part of the Board’s mandate to provide
quality education programs and services to students. See the attached letter.

DARE Grad

Congratulations to all our Grade 4 and 5 students who graduated from the DARE program. We had a wonderful celebration on December 21st lead by Constable Annie Starzynski.

The key points the students learned were:
